Next, we have another Rachel… Rachel Tang! This was also her first year performing in #ArtsinthePark. She performed in Desiree Ho’s Where the Wild Things Are.
I loved… meeting all these amazing new friends here at YAF and being part of the biomorphism family! We got the chance to choreograph parts of the dance and to combine them to form our piece – I loved the originality and helping to create our unique piece!
I learned… the #ArtsinthePark experience definitely boosted my confidence. Nothing matters more than being energetic and passionate while dancing on stage in order to shine!
I am going to miss… my team biomorphism family! All the before-rehearsals-stretching, energetic rehearsals and after-rehearsal-hangouts are awesome memories that I’ll miss a bunch.
I laugh when… when I recall how during the stage rehearsals we kept imitating the phrases Desiree would use to give us notes throughout running the dance. Desiree was with us and we laughed the whole way through. So when we were on stage for the actual performances, Desiree’s notes were in our minds the whole time!
The most challenging thing for me was... to display wildness in the dance. I’m not really used to painting a fierce look on my face so that was something I had to work on and practice throughout the rehearsals.
My dream superpower is… to either be able to fly or travel in a time machine! It would be AWESOME if I could do so.
